Key responsibilities

  • Develop a governance framework and strategy for investigations within the CSIR;
  • Ensure effective and prompt response to Clients request on matters requiring investigation;
  • Conduct investigations effectively;
  • Ensure that there is proper engagement and communication with all relevant stakeholders;
  • Manage risks through incident trends analysis;
  • Ensure that there is compliance with relevant legislative acts and security standards.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • A three year national diploma in security or any other related fields with at least five years of experience in a security and or investigative field;
  • Possession of a Secret Security Clearance is essential;
  • Experience in giving evidence in court or disciplinary hearings is essential;
  • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders such as SAPS, NKP Office, SSA, and other government security agencies;
  • Must have good communication skills;
  • Selfreliant and using own discretion;
  • Ability to exercise tact and good judgement with highlysensitive information;
  • High level of computer literacy is required;
  • Must have the ability to work accurately and efficiently;
  • Respect for confidentiality and human dignity;
  • Must have a valid Drivers Licence for operational purposes.
